Nuby sippy cups are among the most popular selling sippy cups for toddlers and babies. They are manufactured by a well respected company called "Luv n Care" located in Monroe, Louisiana.
The first Nuby replacement spouts that came out were for the tall, 10 oz Nuby Sippy Gripper cup and although they did have the Nuby wide replacement spouts, they were not for sale at the time.
That's all different today. Now you don't have to pollute the environment by throwing out your perfectly good 8 oz. two handled Nuby sippy cup. Instead, you can get the replacement spouts that you need for those cups as well.
This is the sealed factory packaging that holds one spout.

The Nuby wide mouth replacement spouts come packaged with one spout in each package. They are in sealed baggies straight from the factory. They are made of 100% medical grade silicone and because they are not plastic, they are BPA free.

To ensure that your Nuby replacement spouts work correctly, Nuby has notches on the rims of the sippy cups that line up with the two indented notches you will see on the spouts. It is important that you line up these notches prior to screwing the lid on the cup. In addition, don't screw the lid on so tight that it can cause possible leaking. If you line up the notches and screw on the lid until it is tight, but not too tight, your Nuby sippy cups should not leak.
This is the 10 oz Nuby two handled sippy cup that these wide mouth spouts fit. They do not fit any other cup.
The way the liquid is dispensed is through the valve in the spout. When you are taking the cup filled with liquid in a diaper bag and don't want it to spill, make sure the valve is not touching anything. You can always put the cup in a zip lock baggie to prevent the spout's valve from accidentally opening.
When cleaning your nuby wide replacement spout, do not push anything sharp, including a bottle cleaning brush, into the valve. It's best if you just rinse with soap and a hard stream of water, or soak the spouts in hot water. They can be put in the dishwasher, but they wear so much longer if you just hand wash them. It only takes a few minutes.
If you find that there is still liquid stuck in the spout, then gently squeeze the spout between your fingers as you run the spout under a hard stream of water or let it soak a little longer. It will come clean.
Most people don't read inserts, but since these don't come with one, it's important that you know that the Nuby wide replacement spouts (or any of the other Nuby spouts) were not made for chewing on. All babies and toddlers seem to like to chew on them because they are a soft silicone, but when you see them do it, just divert their attention by giving them a pacifier, a teether, or some other toy they can play with.
The spouts will wear out much faster if you let your baby chew on them. In addition, if they really bite down hard, although it's never been know to happen with the spouts, they may bite a piece off. They would have to be chewing extremely hard for a long time for this to happen.
Chewing also causes the valves to break and tear. They will do some chewing, but the spouts are not made to endure serious teething.
Babies and toddlers love the wide mouth two handled spouts because they are made of such a soft, flexible silicone. You may find that the Nuby two handled sippy cup and the Nuby tall 10 oz sippy gripper cups become your baby's favorite sippy cups.
